Terri Ricketts moved to Humboldt County in 1997 to attend Humboldt State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources, Recreation, and Native American Studies in 1999. Shortly after graduation, she relocated to Hoopa. Ricketts worked in various roles, including in vineyards, as a caregiver, for Bigfoot Rafting, and the Willow Creek Community Services District, among others.

One of her greatest achievements was planning the Mountain Music Festival hosted by the WCCSD in 2003. Soon after, she began substituting for KTUSD and continues to work as a substitute at NHUHSD. She has a passion for teaching and loves learning from her students.

Ricketts has three amazing sons who keep her very busy. Her passions, besides being mom, include gardening, cooking, hiking, biking, kayaking, beaches, rivers—essentially anything outdoors. Upon first moving to the area, she lived on Patricks Point Drive and fell in love with Trinidad. After 20 years of living on the Trinity River, she finally moved back to the coast to support her son in high school. She is grateful to be part of the Trinidad Chamber of Commerce and looks forward to many great events, excited to help promote the beautiful town of Trinidad and its amazing people and businesses.

Sherry Vanderpool is a local businesswoman who enjoys the amazing beauty and friendly, accepting people of Trinidad.  She moved from New Jersey to be close to her grandchildren.  Being a member of the GTCC allows her to volunteer for the community and help to promote Trinidad.  For leisure she enjoys hiking, reading, doing puzzles, but mostly just spending time with family and friends.

Brett is the chef/owner of Brett Shuler Fine Catering, serving the Humboldt County area and beyond since 2006. As a member of 5 local chambers and former director with the Arcata Chamber, Brett is an enthusiastic supporter of local business and appreciative of the role that the Chamber plays in the business community. Brett’s hobbies include playing music and disc golf.

Eli Naffah has served as City Manager of Trinidad since 2019.  He also teaches Political Science and Business classes at College of the Redwoods.  Previously, he  served as city manager in Crescent City and Rio Dell.  He started his career in municipal government and higher education in Orange and Los Angeles counties. Before moving to the Lost Coast, he  served as Economic Development Director of Antioch in the Bay Area.  In addition to the Chamber, he  is currently on the Board of the Del Norte Economic Development Corporation.
